Metal forming is a kind of pressure forming manufacturing, which has the characteristics of good workpiece quality, low material consumption, high production efficiency and improved internal structure and mechanical properties of the parts. Therefore, the manufacturing method of forging production parts is used in various industries. The proportion is very large, such as: 85% in the aviation industry, 80% in the automotive industry, 90% in the electrical and instrument industry, and 70% in the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry. With the development of precision forming and less cutting technology, the requirements for reducing production costs, reducing material consumption, and improving product performance and quality are increasing. The role of forging production in industrial, defense, aerospace and other equipment manufacturing industries will getting bigger. According to relevant statistics, in 2009, there were 460 forging equipment manufacturers with a sales income of over 5 million yuan, and the industrial output value was about 30 billion yuan. Among them, there are fewer large and medium-sized enterprises, most of which are small and medium-sized enterprises, and more than half of them are located in Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities. According to the types of products produced, enterprises producing mechanical presses account for more than 40%, enterprises producing hydraulic presses account for about 15%, and enterprises producing shearing, bending, straightening and other forging equipment account for about 45%. According to the output value of the products, mechanical presses account for about 55%, hydraulic presses are about 15%, shearing, bending, correction (straight) machines and other products account for about 30%.
